More About Naliandrah Alpacas

"Naliandrah" is aboriginal for butterfly which also means "new beginning", reflecting the change of lifestyle the alpaca farm has brought to Kay and John.

John has worked with many different farm animals including Angora goats, cows, beef cattle & horses. His family was one of the first to introduce Simmental Cattle into Australia via A.I. (artificial insemination) and E.T. (embryo transfer) technologies, with their Limousin Cattle Stud.

Kay has had a wide & varied career, and has recently opened Hopinit Tyre & Auto with her husband John. Kay has always loved alpacas and initially started working with alpacas as a hobby which has now turned into a full time business.

Kay manages to fit in many alpaca shows throughout the year showing the Naliandrah alpacas & retailing her 'Alpaca Magic' products with the help of her sister.

"Our passion for alpacas began whilst living in a town house. One fateful day, out riding on our motor cycle we stopped in to have a look at some alpacas, and as a result the hunt for a suitable property began. "

IT'S BEEN A DREAM EVER SINCE !! Kay and John have been in the alpaca business for the past 3 years. They are living the dream of raising alpacas of all colours.
